My art is about distortion. Humans distort things. I try to find the hidden distortions within the original photograph I've taken. Eventually the photograph gives me an abstract yet meaningful alternative image.
To expand that further; we know that life traumatises humans. Trauma will make us wear masks. But is trauma limited to human beings? Why not other lifeforms? Even objects? If I dig at the mask (the false but original image) then maybe I uncover a more beautiful hidden image, what I call the true self deep within.
